Ritual Procedure

• The pooja begins with Ganapathi Pooja to remove obstacles
• Kalasha Sthapanam is done invoking Mahalakshmi in a copper or silver pot
• Sri Suktam and Lakshmi Ashtothram (108 names) are chanted
• Naivedyam is offered including jaggery sweets, fruits, coconut, rice, ghee, milk, and dry fruits
• A deepam (lamp) is lit with ghee or sesame oil throughout the pooja
• Coins, gold/silver ornaments, or your business ledger/book may be placed before the deity for blessings
• The pooja concludes with aarti, pradakshina, and prasadam distribution

In Tamil tradition, some families also recite Kanakadhara Stotram during this pooja.
