Thithi (Devasam)

The Thithi Ceremony, also known as Devasam or Pinda Dhanam, is a vital Vedic ritual performed annually to honor one’s ancestors (Pitrus) by offering pindams (rice balls) and water. The belief is that by feeding our Pitrus symbolically through this ritual, we ensure their peace in Pitru Lokha and, in return, receive their blessings for health, success, and happiness.
