Drawing small footprints of Krishna (using rice flour or turmeric paste) from the entrance to the altar is a beloved tradition, symbolizing the Lord’s arrival at home.
Ritual Procedure
- The pooja begins by cleansing the altar and decorating with flute, butter pots, and flower garlands
- A photo or idol of Lord Krishna is placed at the center of the altar
- Ganapathi pooja is performed first to remove obstacles
- Lord Krishna is invoked with chanting of mantras and Krishna Ashtothram (108 names)
- Naivedyam such as seedai, murukku, butter, curd, aval (poha), jaggery, and fruits is offered
- Aarti is performed followed by Krishna bhajans and story narration
- Families often perform midnight pooja to mark Krishna’s exact birth time

- If the pooja is cancelled for more than 96 hours, 90% amount will be refunded
- If the pooja is cancelled for 48 to 96 hours, 50% amount will be refunded
- If the pooja is cancelled for 0 to 48 hours, no amount will be refunded

If you are unsure of the auspicious date and time, please choose the option "Let BookMyPooja team suggest auspicious time", and provide your Rashi, Nakshatra, and Preferred date range where you intend to perform. You can proceed with the booking this way.

While the Puja Packages include most of the items required during the Puja, there are certain household items that are expected that the Host shall arrange.
