Why is Mundan Ceremony Performed?

  • Helps remove negative karmic imprints and Samskaras from past lives
  • Promotes spiritual growth, clarity of mind, and good health in the child
  • Supports mental and physical development in early years
  • Ensures long-term prosperity, protection, and well-being

When to Perform Mundan Ceremony?

  • Ideally done in the 1st, 3rd, or 5th year of the child’s life
  • An auspicious date is chosen based on the child’s Janma Nakshatra and Tithi
  • Preferably conducted in Shubh Muhurat with Vedic guidance

Mundan Ceremony Procedure

  • Gauri Ganesh Puja to remove obstacles
  • Kalash Sthapana and Navagraha Puja for planetary harmony
  • Mundan Ritual performed while chanting mantras
  • Havan and Aarti to purify the child’s aura
  • Hair Immersion in sacred rivers like Ganga, Godavari, or at holy places such as Trimbakeshwar

Important Note on Live & Recording Options

As the Mundan Ceremony involves active family participation, the rituals must be performed live under the guidance of a Vedic Pandit. Recording is not offered for this puja, as the child and family are required to be present during key moments like hair removal, havan, and blessings. A live session ensures the sanctity and spiritual completeness of the ritual.
