When Should You Perform Griha Pravesh Puja?
Griha Pravesh Puja is essential on the following occasions:

What Happens During a Marathi Griha Pravesh Puja?
The ceremony includes traditional rituals and practices followed in Marathi culture, such as:
- Dwar Puja: Worshipping the main entrance of the house, which is often decorated with toran (mango leaves and flowers) for good fortune.
- Boiling Milk: A symbol of abundance, prosperity, and happiness. This is a key part of the ceremony.
- Ganapati Puja: Invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha, who is revered in every Marathi household as the remover of obstacles.
- Gauri Puja: Honoring Goddess Gauri (a form of Parvati), who symbolizes prosperity and protection.
- Kalash Sthapana: Setting up a sacred water pot with a coconut and mango leaves, symbolizing purity and divinity.
- Navagraha and Vastu Shanti Puja: Worshipping the nine planets and ensuring harmony in the house as per Vastu principles.
- Havans: Conducting fire rituals like Ganesh Havan, Navagraha Havan, and Vastu Havan to purify the environment. Marathi traditions may also include reciting specific mantras in accordance with the Vedas.
Why Is Griha Pravesh Puja Important?
In Marathi culture, selecting the right muhurat (auspicious time) is crucial for the ceremony. This is based on the Rashi (zodiac sign) and Nakshatra (birth star) of the house owners, as well as specific Marathi Panchang guidelines.
