Lalitha Sahasranama, one of the most revered hymns in the Sri Vidya tradition, is found in the Brahmanda Purana. It consists of three parts:

• Poorva Bhaga – Describes the origin and importance of the stotra
• Stotra – 1000 sacred names of Lalitha Tripurasundari Devi
• Uttara Bhaga – Explains the spiritual and material benefits of chanting

It is believed that Lord Shiva first revealed these divine names to Nandi, which were later passed on to Sage Agastya by Lord Hayagriva. Reciting these names with devotion is considered more powerful than any mantra or tantra.
