Pitru dosh nivaran pujaPitru dosh nivaran puja
Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja is a sacred Hindu ritual performed to appease ancestors and mitigate the effects of Pitru Dosha. Hindus believe that offering food, water, and prayers to their departed ancestors ensures their souls attain peace and grants blessings to the family. If Pitru Dosha is present in the horoscope, it can lead to family disputes, obstacles in life, and unfulfilled desires. Performing Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja helps in removing these karmic debts and brings peace, prosperity, and family harmony.

What is Pitru Dosha?
Pitru Dosha is a powerful karmic defect in Vedic astrology caused by unfulfilled ancestral duties or unresolved karma passed down through the family lineage. It is often associated with the positioning of Ketu in the 1st or 5th house, or if a person passes away during specific Nakshatras, especially Dhanishta, Shatabhisha, Purvabhadra, Revathi, and Tripada Nakshatras.
When Pitru Dosha is present, it can create deep-rooted family conflicts, property issues, delays in marriage, financial instability, and emotional distress in the lives of the descendants.
When Is Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja Performed?
- On death anniversaries (Shraddha) of departed ancestors

- After death in certain Nakshatras (e.g., Dhanishta, Revathi – house to be left vacant and puja done)
