Bhoomi PujaBhoomi Puja
Bhoomi Puja (ভূমি পূজা) is a powerful Vedic ritual performed before beginning any construction or land development. In Bengali tradition, it holds deep spiritual significance as it involves invoking Bhoomi Devi (Mother Earth), Vastu Purush, the Dikpalas (guardians of directions), and the Pancha Bhoota (five elements of nature). The purpose is to seek forgiveness and blessings from the land before disturbing it.

Performed according to Bengali customs, Bhoomi Puja typically includes:
- Sankalpa (setting the intention)
- Ganesh Vandana to eliminate obstacles

- Offerings of turmeric, rice, flowers, mango leaves, coconut, and sacred water to the land
- Vastu Puja to align energies

In some families, Chandi Path or Durga Suktam is recited, especially where Shakta traditions are followed.
